“Two Worlds, Square meets Circle, Male meets Female. Each in a give and receive relationship. Two forms, two souls. I have been thinking of ways to represent the male and the female without using human figures for years. One day the inspiration hit me.
We (males and females) are the same, but we are also different: one is square and the other is round; one is basic and the other more complex. One has hard edges, the other is soft.
The two forms that express this image I had in my head are the cube (male) and the sphere (female).”
